Voices for Bolivia is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of lives of families and elderly in Bolivia, who are living in extreme poverty. Our unique approach, utilizing classical music, has allowed us to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

ABOUT US
Here at Voices for Bolivia, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part to make the world a better place. Bolivia is a country rich in culture and deep in financial need. 60% of the population lives in extreme poverty and many families struggle to fulfill basic needs, from shoes to healthcare.
Improved living conditions, healthcare, equality, and education are essential for a brighter future for Bolivia. We believe that small changes are significant and can lead to a better quality of life. The cycle of poverty can be broken.
Our areas of interest include:
Care for the Elderly: Unfortunately, it is a common occurance to see elderly begging on the streets for food, clothes and/or any amount of money. These elderly are all people who once were working, many of them having informal jobs in the markets selling produce. Due to the limited access to education, healthcare, transportation and financial stability, after the age of 65, many are left to the mercy of others in order to support themselves and their families.
We believe that no one should spend the last years of their life in extreme need; they deserve to benefit from projects that provide aid in the form of nutritious food, healthcare, and a place to sleep.
Our 10 year plan includes: A physical location where VFB can provide aid for the Elderly at NO COST such as:

A bedroom equipped with a bed, nightstand and window.

In all of our pursuits, we strive to build productive relationships and make a positive, lasting impact.
MEET THE FOUNDER
HELLO! I AM SHELÉN, A CLASSICAL SINGER FROM COCHABAMBA, BOLIVIA. I BELIEVE THAT AN ARITST CARRIES AN INCREDIBLE RESPONSIBILITY AND HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THE WORLD ONE ACT AT A TIME. WHEN I DECIDED TO COMBINE MY PASSION FOR MUSIC AND FOR SOCIAL SERVICE, I QUICKLY DISCOVERED THAT VOICES FOR BOLIVIA HAS A PLACE IN THE WORLD. JOIN ME AS WE CONTINUE TO TAKE STEPS TOWARDS ENDING POVERTY CYCLES AND CHANGING LIVES.

IN 2017 WE HOSTED A FUNDRAISING CONCERT IN NEW YORK CITY FEATURING YOUNG ARTISTS AND UPRISING STARS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD.
THE FUNDS FROM THE CONCERT WERE THEN TAKEN TO BOLIVIA WHERE 500 PEOPLE WERE FED DINNER ON CHRSTMAS DAY.
IN 2019, THE FUNDS FROM OUR BENEFIT CONCERT WERE THEN TAKEN TO BOLIVIA WHERE WE PROVIDED JOBS TO 20 ELDERLY LIVING ON THE STREES.
